Overview

A Family Team is a team made up of family members working together under a shared team name. It is designed to accommodate real estate families of all sizes and configurations.

Who Qualifies as a Family Team

Family members include legally married spouses, parents, children, siblings, cousins, in-laws, any blood relative, or familial relationships recognized by the courts.

A Family Team must have:

  • One designated Family Team Leader

  • At least two Family Team Members, all of whom are family members

Benefits

Commission Cap

  • Team Leader: $15,000 declining annual cap

  • Team Members: $10,000 annual cap — this cap does not decline

Monthly Technology Fee

  • Team Leader: $99/month

  • Team Members: $99/month

  • Each member is billed individually at $99

Team Branding

All team members share a common approved team name on advertising and marketing materials.

Stock Purchase

Team leaders and team members may choose to purchase stock using either 5% or 10% of their commission through the Equity Incentive Program.

Power Award

Team leaders and team members are still eligible for the Power Award regardless of their commission cap. Stock awards at achievement are calculated based on the member's cap at the time.

Formation Requirements

Must Be a Family

All team members must meet the family definition above.

DBA Required

All teams must register a DBA locally in order to use the team name, in accordance with state laws and requirements. The team name must also be registered with the real estate licensing authority of the state and approved by the Managing Broker before use.

Separate Billing

Each member of a Family Team is billed separately at $99/month. There is no combined or household billing.

Revenue Share

Revenue sharing is separate from the team structure and is paid to each individual agent, not to the team.

Internal Recruitment Limits

A Family Team Leader may recruit no more than five active and established Epique agents to join their team for the entire time the team is established. This limit exists to prevent the consolidation of a disproportionate number of internal agents within a single team.

There is no limit on recruiting agents from outside Epique.
