Traditional Teams
Overview
A Traditional Team is a structured two-or-more person team with a designated team leader, a signed team agreement, and a shared team name. It is designed for established agents who want to build and lead a formal team within Epique.
Benefits
Commission Cap
Team Leader: $15,000 declining annual cap
Team Members: $10,000 annual cap — this cap does not decline
Monthly Technology Fee
Team Leader: $149/month
Team Members: $99/month
Team Branding
All team members share a common approved team name on advertising and marketing materials.
Power Award
Team members are still eligible for the Power Award regardless of their commission cap. Stock awards at achievement are calculated based on the member's cap at the time.
How the Commission Split Works
Team members are required to give a minimum 5% team split to their team leader on every transaction they close. The team split agreement may be set higher than 5%.
The split is applied in this order:
Team split is taken from the total commission first
Epique's 85/15 brokerage split is then applied to each agent's remaining portion
This continues until each agent reaches their company dollar cap
Formation Requirements
Team Leader Eligibility
The proposed team leader must have completed at least one year of active agent status with Epique before forming a team.
Team Agreement
A signed team agreement is required from all team members and a Company Representative or Managing Broker before the team is active.
DBA Required
All teams must register a DBA locally in order to use the team name, in accordance with state laws and requirements. The team name must be registered with the state real estate licensing authority and approved by the Managing Broker before use.
Newly Licensed Agents
Newly licensed agents must be with Epique for a minimum of one year before joining a Traditional Team.
Individual Agents Joining a Team
Agents who joined Epique as individual agents and indicated a preference to work independently cannot join a Traditional Team until they have been with Epique for a minimum of one year. Exceptions may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Internal Recruitment Limits
A Traditional Team Leader may recruit no more than five active and established Epique agents to join their team for the entire time the team is established.
There is no limit on recruiting agents from outside Epique. All external recruits must go through the standard Epique vetting and onboarding process.
Area Leader Assignments
Team leaders are assigned an Area Leader. Team members are not assigned individual Area Leaders — the team leader is responsible for ensuring all team members are fully trained and competent to represent the team and the company in all transactions.
Adding Members to an Existing Team
Any changes or additions to an established team must be formally approved. The team leader must submit a request to [email protected]. A response will be provided within 30 days.
