Team Formation Process

Overview

This page outlines the steps required to form any type of team at Epique. Requirements vary by team type — make sure you review the relevant team page before submitting a formation request.

Before You Start

Before forming a team, confirm the following:

  • You have been an active agent with Epique for at least one year (required for Traditional and Power Teams)

  • You have identified your team type and reviewed the relevant requirements

  • You have a team name in mind that has not yet been used

  • You are in Good Standing with Epique

Step 1 — Submit a Team Formation Request

Submit your team formation plan to [email protected] before taking any other steps. Include:

  • Proposed team name

  • Team type (Family, Traditional, Unofficial, or Power)

  • Names and licence numbers of all proposed team members

  • Intended effective date

Do not begin using a team name or branding before receiving written approval.

Step 2 — Register Your DBA

All teams must register a DBA for their team name locally, in accordance with state laws and requirements. The DBA must also be registered with your state real estate licensing authority.

This must be completed before the team name is used in any advertising or marketing materials.

Step 3 — Submit Team Agreement (Traditional and Power Teams Only)

Traditional Teams and Power Teams require a signed team agreement from all team members and a Company Representative or Managing Broker. Submit the completed agreement to [email protected].

Step 4 — Get Branding Approved

Submit your team logo, colours, and any branding materials to the Company for written approval before use. Send to [email protected].

Step 5 — Confirm Member Eligibility

Before adding members, confirm:

  • Newly licensed agents are only being placed on Family Teams or Unofficial Teams

  • Any agent joining from within Epique meets the one-year minimum if joining a Traditional or Power Team

  • Your internal recruitment count does not exceed the five-agent limit

Adding Members After Formation

Any additions to an established team require formal approval. Submit a request to [email protected]. A response will be provided within 30 days.
